Electronic Arts ranked as one of the UK's best employers

Electronic Arts has been named in the Sunday Times' annual survey of the best companies to work for in the UK, with the giant publisher being ranked 21st in the top 100 listing and described as a "stimulating work environment".

The list was compiled by surveying the employees of close to 300 participating firms, and the survey of EA staff showed that over 75 per cent are stimulated by their work while 65 per cent described their job as a "dream job."

The listing will come as a boon not only to EA's UK operation, which includes large development facilities in Surrey and Lancashire, but to the industry as a whole - which faces mounting criticism of employment conditions for development staff, who are often forced to work extremely long hours without overtime payments for several months at a time.

"Along with my UK studio and publishing colleagues, we are particularly proud to be voted among the Top 100 again this year," commented EA's European managing director, Gerhard Florin. "This is a testament to the commitment and enthusiasm of our employees and the company values that we share and respect. It is a privilege and an honour for us to lead teams that are such an integral part of our success."
