Google rolling out new homepage navigation bar

It looks like Google is testing a new homepage bar that brings it more inline with it's other products in terms of design and functionality.

It looks like Bing isnt the only search engine making a few tweaks as Google now appears to be rolling out the new navigation bar on its homepage that it showed off a few weeks back. You can see in the images below the new look that replaces the current black bar with a new layout that is more consistent with the new Gmail design.

The new bar is designed to simplify and unify the Google products and should hopefully provide for a better end user experience.

If you want to learn a little bit more about the new bar, check out this video from Google to gain their perspective on the update.

While the new navigation bar may not be entirely new, it is most certainly not being shown to all users who head on over to Google. So, is the new update an improvement over the current black navigation bar or should Google scrap the new design?
