Google's Nexus 6P gets up to 27% off; 32GB and 64GB models both available for $399

In a few weeks' time, Google is expected to unveil two new Nexus handsets - showcase devices for Android 7.0 Nougat, the next version of its ubiquitous OS. With new phones on the way, its current models have been picking up generous discounts in recent weeks, as retailers clear stock to make way for the next generation.

The Nexus 6P has just received a hefty price cut at two of America's largest retailers. Amazon and Best Buy have slashed their prices by up to 27%:

  • 32GB | usually $499.99 | now $399.99 ($100 / 20% off)
  • 64GB | usually $549.99 | now $399.99 ($150 / 27% off)
  • 128GB | usually $649.99 | now $549.99 ($100 / 15% off)

Both at Amazon and Best Buy, availability varies depending on the combination of color and storage option that you choose. Clearly, though, there's little point in opting for a 32GB model when the 64GB variants are identically priced.

The Nexus 6P is manufactured by Huawei, and its key specs include:

  • 5.7-inch AMOLED screen with Quad HD (2560x1440px) resolution
  • 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 processor
  • 3GB RAM
  • 32GB / 64GB / 128GB onboard storage
  • 12.3MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, infrared-assisted autofocus and 4K video recording
  • 8MP front-facing camera
  • microUSB Type-C connector
  • Fingerprint sensor
  • Dual-front speakers
  • 3450mAh battery
  • 159.4 x 77.8 x 7.3mm; 178g
