HP Discover: Topics we'll be exploring

As we mentioned earlier, the annual HP Discover conference is right around the corner and Neowin will be there to cover it live. The $300 discount is still available for those who want to attend themselves (use registration code BLOG), but we will also provide all of the highlights right here.

There are hundreds of sessions available at the conference, but some of the highlights include converged infrastructure, cloud computing, big data, and bring your own device (BYOD). There’s also a fairly substantial amount of security topics. We’re not sure what products HP might be announcing, but we’ll be sure to give you all of the information you need.

We’re very excited to hear more about big data with Hadoop and Vertica. Today’s world is all about data and how to use it, so we’re hoping to learn some interesting stories and methodologies. BYOD is also an important topic with so many employees wanting to use their own phones, tablets, and laptops instead of company issued devices, but how do you manage and secure these endpoints?

HP Discover runs from June 4th through June 7th. Let us know if you plan on attending the conference and what topics are of the most interest to you.

What about making drivers for reasonably "legacy" hardware?? Having to buy new hardware for every new MS Operating System is absurd! My company is finally "H-P Free." We could no longer afford to use HP hardware.
