anyway. there are no enhancements at all. intellitype osd still lacks of 3d overlay support. actions for additional keys still constantly unloads from memory, making you wait some 5 seconds after press. not good for gaming.

I noticed that MS is downloading this automatically when you connect up a MS mouse/keyboard and then run Windows Updates.

That may be where I got it then. Every time I start Windows an Intellipoint box pops up on screen for a few moments, but I can't find any trace of the software on my system. It's kind of annoying.

I've never seen that, I've only seen when it asks if you want to join the customer experience program for intellitype / intellipoint, after you answer that never again... windows update doesnt pop up dialogs for this unless you have updates available for it and thats only in the WU window

It just stays up about a second, hardly long enough to read it but I managed to get a screenshot of it: http://i55.tinypic.com/357q7fs.jpg

Apparently it is trying to download Intellipoint for some reason but it never does, the box just pops up then disappears. I can't find any trace of it in the startup sections of the registry, msconfig, etc so I'm not sure where it's coming from but this happens on every startup.

Edit: I downloaded the latest version manually and installed it and that seems to have taken care of it.
