Boy did it ever! Installer jumped from like 94MB to 145MB for this minor point release. wtf?

PITATunes

just spent 20 minutes helping out a client fix his itunes mess that would never have happened with a normal player (foobar, winamp, aimp)

It's actually kinda sad to me, as this will be the first iTunes release I don't download and use. I've recently completely removed iTunes in favor of JRiver Media Center.

So people actually use iTunes for something other than device management? Why?

I've always enjoyed using it for managing and playing back my music, ever since it was released for Windows almost 10 years ago. In fact, device management is pretty much the only thing I really *don't* like about iTunes, at least as far as iOS-based devices are concerned. Thankfully nowadays they are far less dependant on iTunes than they used to be.
