The MS JavaVM is no longer supported by MS and was discontinued many years ago.

It has lots of security issues and is a major way that malware will get into your PC.

I would strongly advise you uninstall it and use the latest Sun JavaVM.

I'll stick with MS's JVM. It still works flawlessly and not as crappy as this thing from Sun!

That's funny.

Microsoft's Java hasn't been updated in years and doesn't work with most things. It defeats the whole purpose of Java.

I'm just happy this seems to have fixed all the problems with update 3.

I haven't been able to get update 3 to work in IE7 for months now, and u4 works perfectly.

The Java website refers to this download as "Java SE Runtime Environment 6 Update 4 First Customer Ship". What does "First Customer Ship" mean? Is this yet another bit of terminology meaning Beta?

"FCS is the period which signifies entry into the final phase of a project. At this point, the product is considered wholly complete and ready for purchase and usage by the customers."

You can download direct from Kool Lite Tools (www.<< spam >>.com/comments.php?catid=53&shownews=5288 ) I'm not sure why they changed the original download link but the current one does not work.
