KMPlayer 3.0.0.1442

The KMPlayer is a versatile media player which can cover various types of container format such as VCD, DVD, AVI, MKV, Ogg Theora, OGM, 3GP, MPEG-1/2/4, WMV, RealMedia, and QuickTime among others. It handles a wide range of subtitles and allows you to capture audio, video, and screenshots in many ways. The player provides both internal and external filters with a fully controlled environment in terms of connections to other splitters, decoders, audio/video transform filters and renderers without grappling with the DirectShow merit system. Internal filters are not registered to user's system to keep it from being messed up with system filters. The KMPlayer includes almost all the essential decoders required for media playback. Furthermore, to get beyond the limitation of internal decoders, the external ones such as commercial h.264 decoders or cyberlink/intervideo audio decoders can be specified, so that KMP works optimally by the users' own customization.

What's new in KMPlayer 3.0.0.1442:

  • Add RTMP Source Filter.
  • Add RTSP Source Filter.
  • Add internal video codec(Intel's GPU)
  • RealMedia File Parser improvement and video sync error modification
  • File playback lagging bug modification
  • Fixed M2TS Source Filter error.
  • Fixed multi-channel audio noise bug error.
  • Changed Internal Video Decoder for GUI Preference setting

You can always get the latest english translated x86 beta here - http://www.dvbsupport.net/down...dex.php?act=view&id=230 - look for "PotPlayer 1.5.xxxx Update" files and extract them in the installation folder

and the latest english translated x64 stable build here - http://www.dvbsupport.net/down...dex.php?act=view&id=236 (they don't release x64 betas).

Newer english translated betas are available here - http://www.sat-universe.com/showthread.php?p=628625 - registration required

ENJOY!

wow... what an idiotic comment

the best part "crappy anime-ish" go back to your cave... idiot

I use potplayer! it has amazing features kmplayer doesnt. YoungHuee Kang is an amazing developer, and it sucks Pandora hasn't improved the player, but daum with potplayer seems to be doing better!

it has been kmplayer 3.x in years which sucks how it hasn't been improved, im glad i got potplayer, and then i found about the English version. and obviously its my player of preference

Actually the developer sold The Kmplayer the company turned it on crap and he started Potplayer, genius in my opinion, won money and still make the best player today.

that sounds right. The KMPlayer basically gets little to no development lately but as i was saying Potplayer actually is updated fairly often (usually at least once every 3months if not about once a month or so)

the original developer of The KMPlayer switched to 'Potplayer' which you can get here... http://goo.gl/GFOrM (comes in x86 and x64 builds)

you can even make Potplayer look like the skin in The KMPlayer to as you can change it's default skin as it comes with many skins.

plus what i really like about Potplayer is it supports hardware accelerated h264 video out of the box which KMPlayer does not the last i checked which should cut power consumption and CPU load quite a bit especially those of us with older CPU's.

basically Potplayer is just like The KMPlayer but better. Potplayer is much player of choice hands down when it comes to general playback of .avi (XviD) or .mkv (h264) files.

Nothing like a little free advertizement.

i have no affiliation with it. i am just a end user like you.

it's just ill bet KMPlayer users don't know that the original developer is doing Potplayer (and as i said it looks and functions basically the exact same except it's updated more often and h264 hardware acceleration through dxva) as i accidentally found out about it myself a year or so ago. plus Potplayer gets updated more often than The KMPlayer to. so i am sure what i said has relevance to the topic
