In February, LG launched the "Watch Urbane" as a premium offering in addition to its lineup of regular smartwatches. Now, LG has announced a limited edition version of the Watch Urbane, the "Watch Urbane Luxe", designed in collaboration with REEDS Jewelers..
The Watch Urbane Luxe is made from exquisite materials like 23-karat gold and will have a watch band made with luxurious alligator leather.The leather strap is said to be handcrafted and involves 50 different steps carried out by 30 leatherworkers. The strap will also feature a more elegant deployment clasp that will add a more premium feel.
LG has revealed that only 500 units of the Urbane Luxe will be available for sale, initially starting with the US. Each of the devices will feature an engraving of the serial number for authenticity. The sales of the luxury smartwatch will commence in October, but IFA 2015 attendees will be able to gain a sneak peek ofthe device before the official sales date.
