NCsoft will begin open beta testing for Lineage II: The Chaotic Chronicle at midnight Pacific Standard Time on March 28. The game is scheduled for commercial release on April 28.
Characters created during the open beta phase of the game will not be deleted at launch. NCsoft will delete all characters created during the closed beta phase of the MMORPG prior to launching open beta testing. This reset will allow all players to begin on a level playing field.
Those participating in the beta will also be eligible to compete in several challenges created just for the test. Free gaming systems are among the prizes to be given away. Prizes will be awarded to the top 10 clans and the first players to reach level 20 and level 40.
Everyone who registers for an account will be allowed to participate in the free open beta testing phase of the game. Visit lineage2.com to register for an account and download the software.
