Electronic Arts announced today that fans of the Madden franchise (and Lord knows there's a ton of them!) will get a special treat when the company releases a Collector's Edition of Madden 2005 this August. The Collector's Edition, which is a PlayStation 2 exclusive, will contain the latest installment of the series in collectible packaging, playable classic versions of Madden from the 16-bit era and two from the PlayStation era, a Madden trivia challenge with over 1000 questions, "Madden Moments" spanning the past 15 seasons, historical playoff teams from the past 15 years--each with their authentic uniforms, bonus video content including footage of "The Madden Phenomenon", "The Music of Madden", and a documentary looking into how the game is developed every year from scratch.
