Madden finally returns to the PC with this year's installment

EA's Play conference at E3 2018 is well underway, with the company already showing off Battlefield V, FIFA 19, Unravel Two, Sea of Solitude, and Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. In a surprise announcement, EA also showcased Madden NFL 19 for the PC, among console versions.

Madden NFL19 will be the first title in the series to grace the PC in the last decade. The previous entry on the platform was 2007's Madden 08. The title will once again utilize EA's Frostbite engine, which is also used in the FIFA series.

Pittsburgh Steelers' Ju-Ju Smith Schuster and Madden NFL 18 champion Shay Klaven presented the game onstage. The trailer showcased the New York Giants face off against the Philadelphia Eagles, which you can view below:

Madden NFL 19 is slated for a release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC on August 10, 2018. There is no word yet on a Nintendo Switch edition, so it appears that owners of the console will be missing out this year. Madden NFL 19's Standard Edition will be available for $60, while the Hall of Fame Edition costs $80, and offers an early unlock, Fantasy Packs, and uniforms, among other things.
