Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella to be judge at 2014 Imagine Cup World Finals

Microsoft's 2014 edition of the Imagine Cup student software and technology competition will hold its World Finals in the company's home turf of Seattle for the first time in July. Today, Microsoft announced the three judges that will check out the student projects that make it to the finals, including one very familiar name.

Yes, Microsoft's new CEO Satya Nadella will be checking out the projects and quizzing the students about their work as a VIP judge during the Imagine Cup finals. He will be joined by Hadi Partovi, the founder of the non-profti educational group Code.org, and Erik Martin, the general manager of Reddit.com.

The teams, which will come from all over the world, will be competing in a number of different categories and are trying to win their share of over $750,000 in cash and prizes. As we have reported before, one of the winning teams will also get a chance to have some one-on-one time with Microsoft founder, and richest man in the world, Bill Gates. Microsoft also announced that some of the teams will get to participate in boot camps to help develop their technology projects to the next level.
