Microsoft updates OneDrive for iOS, Windows Phone updates coming soon

Microsoft has pushed out a new update for OneDrive on iOS. The update brings with it a couple new features, including support for TouchID, but for those of you on Windows Phone, the company says that there will be updates for that platform's app in the near future.

The update now allows you to PIN protect the OneDrive app and you can use TouchID as well to protect the contents. This is a handy feature as it adds another layer of protection to your content in OneDrive from being accessed if your iPhone or iPad were to be compromised.

For those of you bought an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus, the app now makes use of the extra screen real estate. Finally, there are new ways to sort your files and folders to make organizing your content a little bit easier.

The app is out now in Apple's App store but for those of you on Windows Phone, Microsoft says "stay tuned, updates are coming your way soon, too". While this is not a definitive timeline, with the Android app being updated last week, expect the Windows Phone app to be update with new features very soon.
