Miranda IM 0.9.42

Miranda IM is a multi-protocol instant messenger client for Windows. Miranda IM uses very little memory and is extremely fast. It requires no installation and can be fitted on a single floppy disc. Its powerful plugin system makes Miranda IM very flexible. Only the most basic features are built in, but there are currently more than 350 free plugins available for download that allows users to extend the functionality of Miranda IM.

I use this and it's pretty decent, but as has been the case since I first got a computer and everyone said to install ICQ, no one is ever visible or active even.

I guess if you have no life and chatting is your thing, provided you're not using Facebook's chat, this is a good program. It connects to all the other main IM programs very easily.

I wouldn't even have this or any other IM program on my machines, but every once in a while I come across some noob who finds out about these things and wants to play with theirs. Doesn't usually take long for that person to tire of these things!

Been a while since I last used Miranda, used to keep a copy on my flashdrive when I was in University, however; since then I have not used it (Still have an old copy on my Flashdrive
