Miranda IM 0.9.47

Miranda IM is a multi-protocol instant messenger client for Windows. Miranda IM uses very little memory and is extremely fast. It requires no installation and can be fitted on a single floppy disk or USB drive. Its powerful plugin system makes Miranda IM very flexible. Only the most basic features are built in, but there are currently more than 350 free plugins available for download that allows users to extend the functionality of Miranda IM.

Screw that messaging within a mail program! Don't use either often enough to warrant that. Very seldom use an IM either, but when I do, it's this handy dandy little thing.

Wonder why they absolutely refuse to get this thing up to version 1.0?!! Of course, with that many decimal points, I guess you could call this version 9!!

With thunderbird taking on messaging I am not sure I will ever see the need for a client like miranda again. It is a really great client, though.
