Miss modern IE in Windows 10? Here is how to get it back

If you have downloaded the technical preview version of Windows 10, you might have noticed that the touch friendly version of IE is not present in this build. And even though this version of Windows is not intended to be your daily driver, we know that if you are reading this post, you likely did not listen to that warning.

So, if you have a touch friendly device and you want to get the modern version of IE back, here is what you need to do. Go here and download the script that @adamUCF has created. Once you have it downloaded, change the extension on the file to .ps1 and then right click an open it with Powershell. If done correctly, it will open the modern version of IE. If it does not work, make sure you have IE set as your default browser.

It's not the perfect solution but if you are like us and are using Windows 10 on your Surface Pro 3, it does help out quite a bit. And as always, this is not an official solution by Microsoft, so proceed with caution.

Let us know if the script works for you and so far, it has worked for everyone who has tried it.
