From Bink: Have been to an interesting session about MOM2000sp1. At the end the speaker showed the roadmap to new versions and some interesting stuff will happen:
MOM2004 and SMS 2003 can be delivered as one suite: System Center Suite, then after the release of Longhorn products (desktop/server/office) the two products will merge in to one product: System Center.
MOM 2004 will start in beta in a few months and RTM is currently scheduled for end of Q2 2004. MOM 2004 has a whole new interface, not the two pane hierarchal view (MMC) but one window with more panes so you have a complete overview at one look.
