We've fed the coders sausages, beans and chips and given them lots of coffee and they've come up with a neat little tab for all Neowin members to use in MSN Messenger 6.
The requirements for our tab are as follows:
For those without Windows XP and who want to use the tab still, please do try it out on Windows 2000 and 98. The application is designed to find the XML file so it should work we just need to be sure.
We're still currently working on the interface and tweaking it to suit everyones needs and the tab as a whole is still marked as BETA. Our installer modifies the ConfigCache.Xml in the local settings of each user and each passport user of a computer running Windows XP and MSN Messenger 6. If you want to use the tab on multiple passports on the same user then just run it each time and type the passport you want to enable.
The installer also modifies the refresh time of the tabs to 0 days, meaning you won't recieve updated tabs if MSN ever do update them ;) For this we've added an un-install option which will allow you to update your tabs and then re-add the Neowin tab. This is currently being worked on and improved.
Please make sure you only download the tab from Neowin and not elsewhere. Please report errors, bugs or suggestions in the comments section here. The installer as a whole works on every machine we've tested it on. Any application errors should be reported after installing v1.1 of the .NET framework from the URL below.
