New Windows 8 TV ads greet the new year

The year 2013 may have just begun, but Microsoft is still pushing Windows 8 like they did at the end of 2012 in a new series of TV ads. The company uploaded a number of new commercials on its YouTube channel in the past few days, including two that were posted late Tuesday.

One of the new clips features the song "Everything at Once," from Lenka, an Australian singer-songwriter who also appears in the TV ad in some rather odd pajamas and dancing the robot, apparently. The Windows 8 portion of the commercial sees several of the operating systems' pre-installled apps such as Maps and Mail at work.

Another of the new TV ads, Free To Be Me, shows a user playing with the Fresh Paint app from Microsoft, which was the center of an earlier Windows 8 commercial. This new clip shows two third party Windows 8 PCs, the Lenovo Yoga 13 convertible and the Asus VivoTab tablet.

Another recently uploaded commercial shows a man trying to buy an engagement ring on a Windows 8 touch screen notebook. Finally, another new Windows 8 TV ad shows how a man working in a boring office cubical uses his Acer Windows 8 notebook to book a trip to Rio and learn how to play the local musical instruments, namely the Pandeiro.
