Nintendo has announced plans to celebrate the launch of pet sim Nintendogs by reducing the price of the Nintendo DS handheld from GBP 99 to GBP 89.
New bundles will also be offered for GBP 99 - consumers will be able to choose from a pink DS with Nintendogs Dachsund or a blue DS with Nintendogs Labrador. Nintendo will no doubt be hoping that the game's European release will give the DS a boost in the war against Sony's PSP, as it's already done in Japan and the US. More than 250,000 copies of Nintendogs were sold in the States in the first week after launch.
