Early today an update via Windows Update (Win 7 - 64) came available for the new update to 181.20. Installed it about twelve hours ago, and at this point no problems. Also, install the linux version (Suse Linux 11.1) without any problems.

The 181.20 worked fine for me on my vista 32 Geforce 9500 GT. c e 3 2 0: sounds like you got hardware probs and that must be why you have problems but i have not had a code 43 for a long time so it sounds like it's on your end and not nvidia's.

The problem isn't evident on the 9 series, it's really a 7 series issue. It's done it on every 7 series that I've tried in the 180 release and Vista 32 and everything works fine with the 178 release.

Add in the number of other people with the same symptoms and the fact that NVidia have stated a fix is coming, I wouldn't agree with your diagnosis.

I've been running it on a couple of GF6 systems for the last couple of days and I am seeing blue screens on standby resumption. Couple it with the fact that it doesn't work with the GF7 on Vista 32, and this to me is the third dud driver in a row.

Ugh, this still causes NFS : Undercover to crash my whole machine on Win7x86.

Back to the default one for me

After finally playing with PhysX, it's a nice little system... compared to software program's having hardware dedicated to Physics is sweet

Took this from Nividia website:

Hopefully this will answer your Question.

At present I am running a Geforce 8800 GT Overclocked setting on Forceware Version 179.23 without any problems. Though when attempting to upgrade to the new 182 version the site stated an upgrade to the new version was not necessary.

Just to let people know, if you are a GF7 user with Vista 32-bit; this is the third driver release in a row that will "code 43" on install. There is no issue under XP or Vista 64 so it seems.

NVidia are saying that the fix will be in a March Forceware release, not in this one.

& boo for not giving me news submission credit :@

i got a Geforce 7900GT with Vista (SP1) 32-bit myself.

your saying these will error if i try installing them?

cause the previous driver 179.24 is working fine for me now.

I never buy an ati card again cause of their drivers and their support...
No im no nvidia fanboy, but ati drivers are simply a mess...

... ATI releases drivers every month... so far I havent had problems with them... Nvidia was the main causes of BSOD on Vista... lol
