i have since switched over to fdm after getting frustrated with orbit downloader. the biggest annoyance with orbit is that you can't fully resize the window. on a netbook with limited screen area, orbit's minimal screen size eats up a huge chunk of the available screen. anyway, fdm doesn't have this problem.

I prefer Orbit Downloader, but I huge letdown for me is that it can't save the layout of columns and its window.

In the new version 3, this problems is aggravated because they added more columns and you can't even have the ability to select which ones to show or hide. This is a basic feature that every application needs to have, but I don't why, Orbit still doesn't after several new versions.

I prefer Internet Download Mananger, while it is not for free but this allow to grab youtube videos at ease, also works with some download sites (such rapidshare).
