Press images of Galaxy S5 inspired Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 leak

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Tab 4 in April, and Twitter based product leaker, evleaks, has already posted press images of the device showing off its typical Samsung design.

It is clear from the first photo of the front side of the Galaxy Tab 4, that Samsung is sticking to the same design as the Galaxy S5. The tablet has plenty of bezel at the top and the bottom with a physical home button and two capacitive buttons for multitasking and going back.

AndroidOS has revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 will feature a 7-inch display having a resolution of 1280x800, an unknown 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage with microSD slot for expansion, 3MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera and a 4450 mAh battery. The tablet will reportedly be available in WiFi-only, 3G+WiFi and LTE options.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Tab 4 at an event on April 24 which is when we will get the official information about the tablet and other devices that the company might have under wraps.

Honestly what stands most is the specs. They are pretty "meh". Even my LG optimus 4x beats the hell out of it.
I'm betting the Nexus 7 2013 (even 2012) kicks its ass without the least effort.

With those specs are worse than the 8 month old Nexus 7 pretty much across the board. I hope they plan on selling this for under $200.

So pretty much complete garbage? Good. Hopefully people will finally realize what junk they have been buying (unfortunately sometimes it takes a lot for that to happen) and start buying more innovative and quality devices like Nokia. Neither Samsung nor Apple have done anything exciting in years (quite the contrary).

They're releasing those WAY too quickly.

They have the Tab 3 7.0, Tab 3 7.0 Lite, Tab 3 8.0, Tab 3 8.4 Pro, Note 8.0, Note 10.1, Tab 3 10.1, oh and a 12.2 model now... There are more, but I'm going to cut it short here.

And for the most part, none of the cases for any of these are compatible with each other because they all have different size bezels! Ughhhhhh

Starting to feel like the HTC of a few years back...

True, and yet, HTC seems to have stopped deluding themselves now. They are releasing a new HTC one, with updated specs, they just keep the name as HTC one but add a monicker....

the only thing the galaxy tab has going for it over the Nexus lineup is the sd card slot and that's not saying much considering how crappy the rest of the specs are

As usual, the Nexus 7 trumps it.
Why even release a tablet with a crappy resolution like that?

my first thought!

i am looking for an 8" tab to replace nexus 7.
but for people buying 7" - nexus is the way. the screen is amazing.

perhaps not so much when youre out and about but during meetings and other times when inside a better camera would have helped.
