no overwhelming reason to switch to this, utorrent just does what you need it to.

no overwhelming reason NOT to try this so I shall..

What a horrid, horrid, horrid interface (did I mention horrid?).

I installed it in a VM, looked through the Options, and failed to see where you turn off those buttons. µTorrent has the ability to be minimal in appearance and that's what I prefer. Take a look here: http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/3574/25808736.gif

That's just what I've always been using. Though I'd still love an ability to hide the menu bar, too

uTorrent has always been free.

I guess it's meant to enhance the fact that uTorrent is closed source, and this is an open source project.

what is the difference?

For example built-in peer filtering. THANK GOD, I can finally throw away PeerBlock or the out-dated and not updating PeerGuardian in OS X.

I'll dig into this just now, although I'll miss uTorrent, has been a long fellow and always worked well!

uTorrent has built in Blocklist support.

So it's just a reskinned utorrent?
No, it just looks like it. It's available for all OSes (I'm pretty sure uTorrent isn't available for Linux)

No, this is an opensource clone of utorrent. utorrent is closed source, even though it is freeware, and is only available for Windows and OS X.
