It's a matter of changing some icons in a folder and recompiling it?

Most likely, I spent some time this afternoon to experiment with a 64-bit build of it and the compilation process is rather crazy (at least using VS2012), doesn't seem too straightforward.

If you find/create replacements for those icons and you want me to build you exes let me know.
