Rumor: AT&T getting the Nokia Lumia 920 on November 2nd

After learning earlier today that the Nokia Lumia 920 is likely headed to Europe in November, it has surfaced that the Lumia 920 could be headed to United States carrier AT&T as early as November 2nd. "Multiple sources" at The Verge claim that Microsoft and AT&T are working to launch the device in early November, with a Windows Phone 8 Release to Manufacturing due next week; The Verge has a historical rumor accuracy of 84%. Nokia For Us, in a separate report, also says November 2nd thanks to a "reliable source".

Reports peg October 29th as the launch date for Windows Phone 8, so to get Nokia's flagship WP8 smartphone into stores as soon as possible would be great to see. The November 2nd date is apparently not completely confirmed as it could slip back due to issues in carrier testing, but if all things go right this could be one of the first WP8 devices to hit the market.

Currently the other two announced Windows Phone 8 devices, the Samsung ATIV S and Nokia Lumia 820, do not have announced release dates, although this obviously won't happen before the October WP8 launch. It's also unlikely that HTC will officially announce a release date for their upcoming 8X, 8S and 8V devices if the current trends are to be believed.

so iphone probably late sept/early oct. wp8 november. will there be any ppl left to buy them?

It is an Apple product, so yes. Those fans are dedicated no matter what.

I personally think it would be a marketing mistake if this arrived exclusively on AT&T. But, that's solely my opinion. I guess we'll see.

No ... send them to T-mobile ... or I have to jump ship to AT&T.

Isn't t-mobile going to get the lumia 820? It's like a given at this point it seems.

I doubt that. The only Nokia phone we got last time was Nokia Lumia 710. I want the high end Nokia only.

Only problem is that T-Mobile has almost no LTE coverage.

Verizon? Please?

Yeah, I'm not switching to AT&T. What is everyone's problem with getting on Verizon. Is this Verizon's fault? I need to point a finger.

Agreed I'm not going to AT&T but it ****es me off to see phones like this go exclusively to them.

On a related note, why are companies choosing AT&T as their provider of choice? They must have something that they offer that the competition doesn't.
