Samsung unveils the Galaxy S6 Edge: Iron Man Edition with a video unboxing

Complete with Mini Arc Reactor!

After teasing an Iron Man edition of the Galaxy S6 Edge, Samsung has now taken the wraps off the device in an unboxing video posted to its YouTube channel early this morning. As you watch the video, you begin to get the sense that this particular special edition is more than just a fancy paint job.

Upon opening the Limited Edition Avengers themed box, you are immediately greeted with the S6 Edge clad in "Iron Man red and gold" and the included mini arc reactor. Okay, we lied, it's actually a cleverly disguised wireless charging pad that looks like one. Upon removing these items you can then locate the charger, documentation, and even a clear shell back cover to protect your new device. Samsung takes it a step further and offers a custom designed Avengers theme to take the gold and red color scheme all the way down to the OS itself.

The phone itself is much what you would expect. The front and back of the device are done up in the classic Iron Man red with image of the helmet as seen on the box also present on the back of the device. Along with the image of the helmet, the aluminum frame, buttons, and trim are also colored in gold.

Jarvis, Iron Man's personal virtual assistant, is unfortunately not included as part of the theme and you probably won't be finding Pepper Pott's phone number in your address book either. If those exclusions aren't deal breakers already, it looks like this special edition variant will only see a limited release in South Korea, China, and Hong Kong for an unknown price. You can find more information on the device through Samsung's website as well as a video of the unboxing above.
