Samsung website accidentally outs Galaxy S6 Active

The Galaxy S6 Active product page briefly went live on Samsung's website today, revealing the device's hardware specs and design.

Ever since the launch of the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge, there has been talk of an Active variant of the company's latest flagship which will bring military grade water and dust proofing to the smartphone. We have seen a few leaked images in the past, but now Samsung's official US website was spotted listing the product earlier today.

According to the product page, the hardware specifications of the AT&T branded Galaxy S6 Active are as follows:

  • 5.1-inch 2560 x 1440 (Quad HD) Super AMOLED display
  • Octa-Core Exynos 7420 SoC
  • 32GB internal storage
  • 16MP rear and 5MP front cameras
  • Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi ac Dual-Band MIMO, GPS, NFC, Heart Rate Sensor, Infrared Blaster
  • 2,550mAh battery
  • Android 5.0 Lollipop
  • 5.65 x 2.78 x 0.27 inches in size
  • 138g weight

The device will reportedly feature MIL-STD-810G certification for protection from adverse environmental conditions such as water, dust, salt, humidity, shocks and vibrations among others.

As the product listing seems to be ready for prime time, we might soon see an official announcement from Samsung or AT&T in the near future.
