Thanks much for the update! Was waiting for this. Maybe they fixed that weird behavior of the user tile jumping up to the top of the screen for a split-second upon first opening the start menu. Will test it later when I get a chance...

With this Start8, when you boot to Windows, with "Boot to Desktop" enabled, does it actually go right to the ddesktop, or do you see the Start Screen for a split second or so before Start8 takes over? Just curious.
And how many Megs of memory does it use?

No, you go right to the desktop. The early versions showed W8 start screen for a split second.
Start8, on my computer, use 0,4MB for a service and 0,5MB for the program.
It's a great program, I have never had a problem with it.

You do see it for a split second. It's not the native-like as on Server 2012. It seems it's the simple, non-native way we all know.

No, I don't see anything of the W8 start screen, not even a blink. But that maybe depends on that I have quite a fast system, I7 and SSD, 10 seconds boot time.
