Super Smartphone Showdown Part 6: The Verdict

It's the final part of out Super Smartphone Showdown! Today we look at the battery life, video and audio quality of each device before summarizing and giving a verdict on which flagship device is the best.

We hope you have enjoyed watching the Super Smartphone Showdown here on Neowin, and perhaps learned a little bit about each device across the hour of video we've posted. You never know, but we may just have to do another showdown in the future, so be on the lookout for the series in the future.

We'd like to thank MobiCity for providing the Samsung Galaxy S III and LG Optimus 4X HD on show here, HTC for providing the HTC One X and Sony for providing the Sony Xperia S. Thanks heaps for supporting us!

Check out the previous parts of the showdown via the link below, and you can also watch all the videos in the showdown one after another by following this link, which takes you to a Super Smartphone Showdown playlist.

No physical keyboard?

Then in my book, none of them win.

I'm with you on this. I just moved from a Blackberry Torch to the S3. I *love* the S3, but from a composing email/texts perspective, the Torch wins hands down.

Makes no sense to have the One X above the S3 because of plastic back..at the end of the day performance is what really matters..and the S3 has plenty features to match it's excellent performance. Weak conclusion but good concept in doing the test - long and an attempt to be detailed.

I agree. Although I do love the One X and would probably have that if Verizon offered it, I love the design of my S3. It's thin, extremely light, and sleek. The "cheap plastic back" translate as "inexpensive to replace" to me. I feel like in a few weeks, I'll be able to buy backs for it for under $5 so I will never have to worry about scratches or anything on the back.

With that said, I did put it in a slim case anyways...

HTC One X is a beautiful device, so I'm not going to dispute anything here! Although I must say, I used to HATE AMOLED, but I really don't mind this S3! in fact, I love it. The white is not blue, and the colors/black are very crisp.

Thank you for all your reviews!

I could have gone for a One X, but the north american version is dirty. Also, he One X line has wifi issues. In the end, HTC will be grossly outsold by Samsung.

So what's the verdict? Really not interested since it's Android, just curious.

Why did you even come to this page if you couldn't be bothered to watch the video? xD

Thanks! All I see is this:

Naww why did you tell him D: We could have made him actually watch the video xD
You think I give a rats ***. Seriously, did you like your own comments? I came here because the title exclaimed Verdict! But typical Neowin, not one mention of the verdict itself in all the long rant.

And thanks Jan. I'm sure I wasn't the only who wanted to know.
