Tech support reps are recommending users to uninstall Windows 10 to resolve PC problems

Microsoft's latest operating system doesn't seem to be popular with PC support technicians as they have been found recommending users to downgrade to an older version as a solution for certain issues.

With Windows 10, Microsoft has shipped its own tech support app to help out users first hand, however, manufacturer support is still the preferred choice for a vast majority of users. Laptop Mag decided to call some support technicians to test their preparedness for solving Windows 10 issues.

In the experiment, it was found that the technicians would recommend reverting back to Windows 8.1, even for issues that weren't related to the OS. These were common scenarios as Laptop Mag contacted both HP and Dell for support and received similar solutions of rolling back to Windows 8.1. HP's VP of Customer Experience, Mike Nash, defended the company's support technicians stating that, "At the end of the day, the person's job is to get the PC running."

While many manufacturers have shown strong support for Windows 10, it might take some time before support crews get comfortable and warm up to the OS. Do leave a comment if you have had a similar experience.
