TechSpot: Most Anticipated PC Games of 2013

It's an exciting year for gamers -- not just because the industry has whipped up an appetizing menu of fresh releases, but because we're approaching the next console generation, which will inevitably come with interesting new software projects, and many of them are bound to hit PC. Assuming Microsoft and/or Sony ship their updated hardware by the holidays, we could see some major launch titles shown at E3 in June, which might render our collection of 35 games (and 10 bonus mentions we're lukewarm about) incomplete.

And with that, we need to smack you with this obvious disclaimer: many interesting upcoming titles were excluded from our list, which is admittedly subjective and impossible to complete without adding everything due in 2013, but that would totally defeat the purpose of a "most anticipated" compilation. As always, you're more than welcome (encouraged, even) to hit the comments and tell us what we've missed and why you think it's important -- just make sure it's a PC game coming out in 2013 or be ready to take your lumps.

I'm quite looking forward to Project Fedora myself. Always loved the Tex Murphy games, and it'll be great to re-live the experience again, but on a system that wasn't geared towards DOS.

For me, I'm looking forward to GTA V (implying they'll release it for PC because no thanks otherwise), The Elder Scrolls Online, and...

Well, I'm pretty content for now in gaming. I haven't played Skyrim in so long so that when I go to pick it up again, it'll be fresh (almost a year since I last played). New Vegas I haven't touched, Fallout 3 I'm almost done with, Guild Wars 2 is just fun, LA Noire, Sleeping Dogs... yeah, I have quite a full plate.

I've just been playing DMC devil may cry, its awesome! First dmc game i've played.
Waiting for Dead Space 3 now, completed DS2 last week to get myself more excited about 3
Also bioshock and GTA V ofcourse (although if IV is anything to go by, it will be CPU intensive and my sys will struggle)

I backed a few games on kickstarter, the fruits of those investment should be ready for harvest this year. Do understand some projects could very well fail.

Double Fine Adventure
Wasteland 2
Banner Saga
Shadowrun Returns
Valids Story Abyssal City
Republique
Leisure Suit
Echoes of Eterna
Jane Jensen / Moebius/Pinkerton Road
Broken Sword
Project Eternity
Sealark, an Oceanic Adventure Game

Looks like some great games towards the end of the year!!

Wasteland 2!

and OMG I didn't expect Rise of The Triad, thats a blast from the apogee past whats next Blake Stone Aliens of Gold?? !!

Thing that strikes me from this list is 1) the lack of RTS games 2) I had completely forgotten about Star Craft 2...long time between drinks, er expansions.

I'm quiet annoyed at the lack of Indie Titles.... and Missing AAA titles....

Broken Sword (still slated for this year)
Planetary Annihilation
Carmageddon: Reincarnation (still expected to be released I think this year).

And also don't forget, X Rebirth is suppose to be released this year.

The list is most anticipated in techspot's view, guessing they don't deem indie titles very anticipating and carmageddon, lol, the original was rubbish, it only gained popularity due to the violence, so cant see many people anticipating that game.

So it makes it right or does it make it wrong?

It doesn't make it right or wrong. Liking or anticipating is just an opinion. Although I do remember that Carmageddon got kind of boring after the initial fun of running people over.

I haven't heard of any of those
