Trillian is a fully featured, stand-alone, skinnable chat client that supports AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo Messenger, and IRC. If they're seperate downloads they may just be considering them optional rather than included. (I don't know, not going to click yes to find out.)

The fact that they are opt-out (checked by default) is the biggest concern. Like most software installers which is really annoying
