uTorrent 3.3 Build 29333

µTorrent is an efficient and feature rich BitTorrent client for Windows sporting a very small footprint. It was designed to use as little CPU, memory and space as possible while offering all the functionality expected from advanced clients. µTorrent was written with efficiency in mind. Unlike many torrent clients, it does not hog valuable system resources - typically using less than 6MB of memory, allowing you to use the computer as if it weren't there at all. Additionally, the program itself is contained within a single executable less than 1.0 MB in size.

Changelog:

  • Fix: Installer hanging while offline
  • Fix: Delay in installer
  • Fix: Client not starting after update
  • Fix: Duplicate device names for android devices
  • Fix: Torrent paused state was reset when restarting client
  • Fix: PLUS: Post-expiration, playing a file pops up errors

I've yet to figure out why anyone uses these things? I've tried most of them, but can just about always find what I want over straight http MUCH faster than any of these things can.

Not to mention how easy it is to get busted for using one of these things!

Totally useless programs, IMO.

You do realize that BitTorrent clients aren't just for pirating right? Also, any program you use for piracy is just as vulnerable as this.

And the point of torrent isn't speed, it's availability.

My internet connection is much faster then most servers and its just 80mbit. Only the bigger companies/cooperations have servers capable of letting me get 7-8mbyte p/s. With HTTP i'm often happy to reach 1-2mbyte p/s. Or with those sh*t like gamershell or fileshare reaching 100kb is often a happy feeling . Torrents after a few minutes usually give me close to my maximum speed.
Or what often is in a rar or zip, comes with torrents in separate files, so you can chose to not download what you don't need.

Most of my private trackers block alternative clients. uTorrent isn't bad though. Just disable all the useless crap they added on to it.

Any fun new 'surprises' added to this version?

Nope, same as every other release, nothing new. Just some tweaks I guess.
