uTorrent 3.3 Build 29533

µTorrent is an efficient and feature rich BitTorrent client for Windows sporting a very small footprint. It was designed to use as little CPU, memory and space as possible while offering all the functionality expected from advanced clients. µTorrent was written with efficiency in mind. Unlike many torrent clients, it does not hog valuable system resources - typically using less than 6MB of memory, allowing you to use the computer as if it weren't there at all. Additionally, the program itself is contained within a single executable less than 1.0 MB in size.

Just use µTorrent 2.2.1.
It was the last good version until the 3.0 bloat virus started over.

I've used every single version, every build, alpha and beta, and I haven't noticed any bloat.
No ads or crap, and very minimalistic gui as far as I've noticed.
Can't see how there'd be any bload on a program that's around 1 meg in size, has never changed.

It's 1MB+ compressed while a few months ago it was 300KB+.

I went with Tixati btw. I disabled everything I don't need, changed UI to OS Default and it has the most solid features. When you chose what to download every time works perfectly -one of the most important features.

Nope, wasn't 300KB a few months ago. I still have lots of older saved files of uTorrent.
Has always averaged around the same as far back as I can remember.
I also checked out screenshots going back to version 1 of utorrent, and they are way more bloated looking graphic wise than new versions which are so minimalistic there's almost nothing on the gui other than what you're downloading.

I haven't done any targeted comparisons but do agree it's more bloated now compared to 2.x (which was about 300KB or so). Now we have stuff like 'featured torrents', 'plus' content etc which I don't want and don't use. The biggest sin is the installer though pushing toolbars and 3rd party software to the level of aggression of say Daemon Tools Lite.

5 people died and 2 computers just stopped working after installing this.

@Ahmed
You mean qBittorrent for Windows? Google doesn't see any qTorrent results.

I'd love to... but it's not ready. When I add a magnet link I can't pick which files I want/don't want
(they appear after a while in Utorrent)

Here, you must add the torrent and stop it, and then de-select the files. It's a major inconvenience!

This build installed WinZip registry optimiser even though I declined. And this piece of ... ran automatically after installation and I had to kill its task to be able to close it! Enough is enough
