Based on all of the great feedback we recieved, we have made some changes to the Vista Shortcut Overlay Remover utility, aka FxVisor. This version introduces the ability to choose a light arrow, and a fix for the broken favorite links in windows explorer.

This is a nice app but I wonder if they fixed the problem where it would break the Favorite Links in Windows Explorer.

did they change the news posting after its original post?

i just think its strange to see a news update regarding a fix in the Favorite Links in Windows Explorer, and then immediately see someone posting a question wondering if they fixed the Favorites Link in Windows Explorer.

The favorites are fixed, but now I get a big black box where the arrow usually is when i choose no arrow

Are you running Windows Vista Release Candidate? This issue is known on RC2.
Version 1.2 is intented to be used only with Vista RTM.

Didn't work for me. I've tried this twice, one time with a manual reg batch. Wierd.

What version of windows are you running x64 or x86? Is it RTM?

I've seen some people installing the x86 version of this application on their Windows Vista 64-bit. Which is going to execute but the changes won't work. Please if you have x64 version of Vista use the 64-bit version of the application.
