Last week Verizon announced that the HTC Trophy will finally be landing on Verizon Wireless starting May 26 and retail availability will be on June 2nd. One question that was left unanswered was what version of WP7 would be shipping with the device.
Neowin can now confirm that the HTC Trophy will ship with 'NoDo'. One of the concerns raised on message boards was if users would be required to update the device once purchased from Verizon. The device, out of the box, will be running 'NoDo' according to a Verizon representative.
For Microsoft, 'NoDo' was a bump in the road as it was slow to deploy the update. While most individuals now have the update, there are still some who have not received the update as of yet. Microsoft is set to announce its next major update "Mango" tomorrow, which will bring many new features to the table.
HTC Trophy will be available online at www.verizonwireless.com on May 26, and in Verizon Wireless Communication Stores on June 2 for $149.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement. Customers will receive the rebate in the form of a debit card; upon receipt, customers may use the card as cash anywhere debit cards are accepted.
