rave reviews... from india perhaps? got to lol!! i don't work for the company...

No, rave reviews from average people who use it and now swear by it. Just like when MSE first came out (and still to this day) people went nuts over it etc. Now it's WSAA time to shine?

Nope. Worst AV I have ever used ..speed wise.

Then there may be something wrong with your PC. Or your PC is 15 years old? WSAA uses less resources than MSE!

Hi Kosh,

It does sound like there may be a problem on your PC as SecureAnywhere only uses a little over 9 MB when idle and a little more than 33 MB when it is actively scanning. The average time for scanning is under 3 minutes so if your scan is taking much longer, then that is an indication of either infections, software conflicts or failing hardware.

Did SecureAnywhere find any infections on your PC? Please let me know if any threats were detected and also the specs of your PC so that I can assist you further in figuring out what is happening.

Thanks,
Greg

LOL ... the same thing was said in the recent forum thread.
I have a Phenom II 1100 @ 4000 Mhz with 8 GB of ram running windows 7 x64 with a GeForce 680. If that system can't run WSAA then obviously I must be holding it wrong. Fact of the matter is, it runs slower than a snail and it makes my PC crawl along. Every time a program is started it takes several seconds to launch (which doesn't happen with my current AV) even when launching from an SSD.
As I said in the forum thread I was looking to try another AV product since my current one was about to expire. But just as in the forum thread, everything but the program itself is blamed for it's poor performance. So far I have seen the following excuses ... 1. You didn't uninstall your previous AV properly (well ..I have tried other AV's after uninstalling my current one and they all run better than WebRoot) 2. There must be somehting wrong with your windows installation (Hmmm ... I use a lot of time and effort to keep my system up to date and to ensure it runs at peak performance and I have been doing so since I built my first PC in 1986) 3. Your system is old and outdated take it offline. (Ok ...well it's not old and outdated, besides Webroot says their AV is the easiest on resources so what's the problem ?) I could go on and on, But the fact is ... Webroot does not work well on my rig. Period.

Mark my words Webroot SecureAnywhere will be one of the top rated AntiVirus programs in the next 2 to 3 years!

Its the lightest,Fastest,GreatTech Support and very good protection that I am sure will get better and better in the coming months and years!

I do not work for Webroot however I am becoming a big fan of this Antivirus software
