Wow that is light. That's even lighter than Norton which generally uses around 12-20MB of RAM depending on what it's doing.

expensive, cloud-based bloatware.

At least know what the term "bloatware" means before using it in a sentence. It just makes you look dumb otherwise.

Avast is good but Webroot SecureAnywhere is better!!!

I used Avast for years but now I am a Webroot SecureAnywhere user for life "Hopfully" lol

Of course I am not sure if you knew this but the way Webroot SecureAnywhere is designed it allows you to run other AntiVirus software along side Webroot if that is something you want to do.

As far as the price well I can not speak for the price you mentioned because I got in on a wonderful deal a few months back and saved big time! Keep you eyes open and maybe there will be a big sale again soon. You could also check ebay which has some really cheap deal on Webroot. Just make sure you buy from someone you trust.

Generally don't even use an AV and darn sure not going to pay for one, when there are a few around that are easily just as good as Webroot. If I wasn't using Avast at the moment, I'd be using the free MSE, or, as I said, none at all. MSE is easily one of the best, period, also.

Would NEVER run 2 AV's at the same, even if one was specifically designed for that. Avast is using all of 32M right now. Hardly hard on the system.

Shareware for $39.95?! First 3 months free. WTF is that? Only get 9 months protection for $40?!

No thanks. Will stick with Avast!!
