Maybe I'm an idiot, but when I do PrintScreen and paste the image in Paint.NET from within Windows Vista the shadows and the window transparency that is used in Aero look the exact same to me.

Window Clippings will automatically remove whatever is behind the window (you know, the glass title bars and border with the blur effect?), and crop everything perfectly with the border shadow -- otherwise you have to manually place the window on top of a white background, and then manually crop it. May not seem like much if you do 1 screenshot, but it's an incredible timesaver when you're doing several.

Useless.

All we need is PrintScreen or Alt+PrintScreen.
Shadows can be added easily using several of free bitmap manipulation tools.

Useless? I completely disagree. Maybe you want to do the extra work it takes to have a clean screenshot with shadows in Vista, but I don't. This app simply makes all that easy to do within a button press and two clicks.

The program IS free, there are a few features you need to pay for but you won't need those. Your way is far more complicated than pressing PrtSc, selecting the windows you want, and pressing finish now is it?

$10 for feature I can elsewhere get for free?

I can't see the point in creating another screenshot capturing tool and distributing it particularly as Shareware while there are so many free alternatives...

please tell me where I can get a screenshot program that does alphas in vista also.... or even osx.. I'd be quite happy then.... this is the first time I've ever seen it.. and 10 dollers is not that big a price u know.... whats wrong with someone offering something which is mostly free.... but trying to earn some money at the same time...zzzzz

I don't have a problem with ppl wanting to earn money with their work, but there are so many screenshot tools out there which do all the same...

(I don't have Vista, so I can't tell you. :))
