Windows 8 hits M3 build 8063 as BUILD approaches

According to WinBeta, who have sources close to the matter, Windows 8 has reached build 8063.0.110804-1922 – which as the date suggests was compiled on August 4, 2011 (last week). While this build is still in the Milestone 3 (M3) stage, it is rapidly approaching the beta stage which could see select groups of people outside Microsoft access to the early builds of Windows 8.

This build has not been leaked and no information about any of the features contained within the build has been released. The last build to leak to the public was build 7989 back in June, and since then new information surrounding Windows 8 has been scarce; it was rumoured that two Microsoft employees were terminated over the Windows 8 leaks.

Microsoft now will be gearing up for their BUILD developer conference where they plan to show “that Windows 8 changes everything.” It is not confirmed what exactly Microsoft will show off in regards to Windows 8, but it will most likely be more than what they showed off at Computex in June, where they revealed the tiled user interface that will be used for Windows 8 tablets.

The BUILD conference, scheduled for between September 13 and 16 in Anaheim, California, has already sold out due to the massive hype surrounding Windows 8. Luckily, Neowin will be in attendance to provide news straight out of the conference for all those unable to attend.

@FaiKee, you must go around to every website posting a link to MDL and how anything other than what canola (or granola or whatever his name is) says is fake. I LOL at you sir.

According to canouna of MDL, the build string is a total fake.

Well, who is more reliable, the source of WinBeta or canouna?

Winbeta is total blog spam.. i'm not sure who owns that site, maybe someone will fess up to it, but they spam their links everywhere they can.. hopefully neowin doesn't fall into that trap

Canouna... He has a source in MS. That's how he gets the latest builds.

Canouna and Zukon(k)a are the most reliable source for Windows beta information. WinBeta on the other hand is indeed pure spam and a bunch of clickwhores.

On the last week of July, canouna in MDL chatbox said he is "running final m3"......so winbeta is just total BS.

Neither are particularly reliable. Just think about it though....they just report a build number and no information. Blog spam.

If you have an eidetic memory of all the attention seekers who have lacked substance it would drive one crazy.

Must be the only one to have sources. Good for him or her.

Tom, no one cares about your opinion, because everyone knows what it's worth.
