Windows Phone 7 HTC Mazaa leaks out

While there hasn't been a new wave of WP7 devices since the initial launch batch, HTC is looking to change that with the HTC Mazaa. The device is expected to hit Sprint within the next six months and according to the tipster, may even carry DDR2 memory for an added speed boost.

The pictures come courtesy of XDA developers and show a device made by HTC with the Windows Phone branding on the back. The device appears to have a 3.7 inch display and has the traditional three buttons at the bottom for the Windows Phone platform. There is also no indication which chasis spec this phone falls under.

Besides the little tidbits of information leaked by the tipster, not much else is known at this point. While there has been a bit of a drought on new WP7 devices, including a lack of a device on Verizon, it appears that new hardware is being readied for all the WP7 fans out there.

WP7 has had its fair share of bumps in the road since the platform launch. Microsoft has experienced a few issues while trying to update the devices the first time around and the second update, NoDo, has been nothing less then a slow rollout to end users. But, despite all of these issues, the platform does have potential and is a serious competitor in the marketplace.

How many different Apple phones do u think there are?

On the market right 6 in clueing the Verizon specific on, and the design isn't much different at all between the 3Gs and 4 besides a bit thinner and the dumb ****ing glass back

All HTC Windows Phones look the same...

And who gives a toss - what I care about is reliability, stability and signal quality. Great, iPhone look 'unique' - enjoy your antenna issues whilst I'll enjoy my 'boring but always working' WP7 device.

It looks just like the AT&T HTC Surround. Maybe this is Sprints version.

That's the HTC 7 Trophy. The Trophy has the power button on the top left.

HTC 7 Surround and HTC 7 Mozart has the power button on the top right.

Speaking of AT&T, everybody has come out with new phones accept them. WTH is going on?

Why would anybody come with new phones for something that hardly sells ? Look at the Android market, new 100 phones each month (in Asia).

Yeah and good luck getting any future OS updates for all those phones.

That's why I went to Samsung for my WP7 phone. My next choice would be either from Dell or LG, depending on who would make the AMOLED screen available and have better specs. HTC is so unoriginal these days.

Yes, this is the HTC 7 Trophy.

Apparently, there's a CDMA variation of the HTC 7 Trophy that's suppose to hit Verizon Wireless.

HTC has a habit of renaming their phones for different carriers... lol It's really frustrating.

One can only hope. It's about time WP7 came to Verizon. I hope they took all of this time to come up with some mind blowing phones...

It is about time WP7 comes to verizon, yet looking at their phone selection they're still selling Win Mobile 6 phones, MS needs to do something about that

Yeah, I noticed that too. But on their website they renamed all of the Windows Mobile phones as "Windows Phone" devices... Verizon really needs to get WP7 already.

Somebody probably made a mistake. This is the HTC 7 Trophy for Verizon Wireless.

Agreed. It's even red on the inside. The original Trophy is yellow. And it also has that mysterious circle on the back which the original lacks.

I am guessing they will put crazy hardware on this phone which is a welcome feature (others want more apps, I want hardware). I was a bit disappointed to see the WP7 initial hardware since I had the HD2 and the new devices had the same spec.
I am guessing dual core 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM the camera that was confirmed and some crazy storage.

interesting could swear it's just a trophy.... why bother with such a thing.

why cant they actually do something new different and interesting for wp7 or android like a 4.3 inch qHD slider with nice 5 rows of qwerty keys unibody design and actually good hardware specs for a change not 3 year old hardware like wp7 currently runs on...

1. Samsung's fault for screwing the firmware.
2. Only with stupid ass big carriers.

No issues around here.
