Xbox One: Provide your email address, get $10 at Microsoft Store

The Internet is all abuzz about the new Xbox One console, which is due out "later this year". While everyone's been discussing the merits of the latest Microsoft device, the company's store put up a graphic of the Xbox One and is giving everyone who registers their email address a $10 credit for a future purchase. That's all there is to it; there's no registration, no forms to fill out, just a single box to type your email address into.

Unfortunately, our non-North American readers are once again left out in the cold. The fine print states that the credit must be used on "a transaction for an item over $10.00 MSRP only at Microsoft online stores in US (including Puerto Rico) and Canada." In the UK, the Microsoft Store website is only offering Panda Internet Security 2013 for free with the purchase of Microsoft Office - hardly an enticing deal - with no mention of the new Xbox yet.

The $10 promotional credit must be used on the site by June 9th, so that means you won't be able to use the credit for the new Xbox One, but free money is free money.

It's great living by the beach. Not only that, living by the beach in Southern California, enjoying these wonderful Microsoft offers. ;-)

NEOWIN Request: All free offers related to ONLY the US Market be in the tittle. I.E. "USA Only Xbox One: Provide your email address, get $10 at Microsoft Store" waste my time reading this when its only related to the US market.

I feel like that's a fair request. You should use the report a problem with the article as well just so you know the author can see that.

Agree...find this frustrating when I get excited by a good offer and only after reaching the end of the article I find that I'm not eligable because Microsoft doesn't realise there is a world outside the borders of the US.

(I know Canada is included but they probably think that Canada is part of the US)

Wait what? It isn't misleading. You sign-up to be notified for the availability to preorder the Xbox One and you get $10 promo code for the Microsoft Store (sadly has no use in the Store app on Windows 8 unless I'm doing something wrong).

get rid of the XBOX ONE in topic. Misleading! Shame on this site

Hey everybody, this guy thought he could get the XBOX ONE for $10! Hah hah!

I definitely wouldn't pass up the opportunity. It does suck that the order has to be $10+, was going to be cheap and get the $7.99 8GB microSD card which is $7.99 w/ Free shipping.
