And what's wrong with cleaning up old shortcuts?

It actually does do more than just scan for malware. Don't think I'd call those false positives?

Tested this numerous times it and it seems to have a lot of false positives.. This thing was cleaing up old shortcuts.

Id have to rate this as poor. Sorry

Since seeing this article on here, I decided to use this on a computer I'm working on at the moment.

Have scanned with Malwarebytes twice (second scan found nothing) and Spybot once. Very infected computer. Malwarebytes found something like 197 baddies and Spybot found another 33.

Ran just the smartscan portion of A2. It found another 337 badies!! Mostly registry entries that weren't linked to anything. Apparently, A2 works as a registry cleaner also. Don't remember it doing that before.

Computer now seems to be running like a raped ape, as it should!! Sending it down the road!!
Another satisfied customer!!

Better as on-demand scanner imho, as it includes also AV definitions from Ikarus. That being said, Ikarus was famous for their false positives. They have improved in the past years

I'd rate this as an "almost" must have.

I use 2 malware scanners, Malwarebytes & Spybot. The day one of those 2 goes kaput, a-squared will be installed again.

Have used it sevral times in the past. Have used it on machines that had been scanned by both of the above mentioned scanners, and this found other baddies, that I'm sure weren't false positives.

Holy cow!!
