"Installed on over 750 million Internet-connected desktops and mobile devices"

Wow, quite an achievement when there is virtually no other alternative.

Unfortunately for us, that's 750 million + vulnerable devices with exploits in the wild.

I wish Adobe would just collapse and die as a company. Flash is garbage, and I avoid any site the relies on it. Bloated code full of vulnerabilities. Stupid, stupid Adobe. And even more stupid are website developers relying on it.

I've heard that rhetoric about pretty much every product out there. Get a life.

Not totally that I wish it would die, but I sure wish developers wouldn't lay it on so thick on some sites. Some are totally absurd on how heavy the lay it on.

Thank goodness for Flashblock!!

I clicked on the download link and it said I already had a newer version installed.

Which is likely to happen if you checked under Chrome which happens to have Flash built-in. That's (one of?) the reasons there was an update to Chrome yesterday. If you use other browsers you have to update the runtime still.

I've heard one report of this update causing problems with firefox, causing it to consume way too much cpu, on XP.

Anyone else experience this?

Hum, and I though version 10 was no longer being developed since version 11 is now on RC1?

Windows 8 is RC. Shall Microsoft stop supporting all previous versions? Really.

What.

Windows 8 isn't even beta yet, let alone RC.
