Hello,

I noticed that the fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_11[active_x_|_plugin_][32|64]bit.exe files still download Adobe Flash v11.2.202.235, which are smaller than their 11.3.300.257 counterparts.

Does this mean that Adobe is now packaging both the x86 and x64 versions of Flash into a single distribution file?

Regards,

Aryeh Goretsky

Flash 11 hasn't worked properly for me. It makes the videos run really slow and the whole browser becomes unresponsive to an extent. I'm guessing it's because my video card needs updated? I've been using Firefox 13 Portable with Flash 10 built in and everything runs perfectly. Did Flash 11 change something? It seems it's more dependent on the GPU than it was in version 10. Is that true?

New version of Flash does not work with Firefox 13. Youtube videos won't play. Works fine with all other browers

All the previous betas as well as this new release version have happily worked fine with FF13 and 14 on every system I've installed it on. Perhaps something didn't install right for you.

Lul.

i agree with you but it's probably better than it used to be.

it uses the GPU (assuming your GPU is not too old) to accelerate video which takes a lot of the load off the CPU.

Flash is a lot better then what it was even a few years ago if you ask me...

Flash is great for playing video using the GPU.

But, it doesn't offload much else to the GPU like rendering vectors. Its Antialiasing effect around line edges uses the CPU for example.
