BLU finally breaks silence regarding bad update for Life One X2

After being silent for the weekend, BLU has now come out on Twitter to offer help to those that might have experienced an issue with a recent update that was pushed over-the-air to one of its handsets.

If you have not heard, the update was for the Life One X2 and caused significant issues, as there were various reports of users being locked out of their devices without a means to get back in. While it isn't a straightforward fix, the company is apparently asking those affect to email the firm. Once you email the company, the firm will provide a software update that will apparently fix the problem and grant access to the device once again.

The company states that this fix is only for those that have not performed a factory reset or exceeded the number of PIN attempts. While the first criteria will probably be satisfied by most, the second may be more unlikely if users were desperate to regain access to their handset. Those affected can email BLU at escalations@bluproducts.com to get started with the process of recovering their smartphones.
