Man that Processor would be slow by today standards, let alone 2011; why bother putting something so slow in a premium phone?

So true. Even their windows 7 phone is going to use snapdragon, which by that time will be quite mainstream (as Samsung is already going to release 2 phone models with a better cpu).

Even the camera will be quite ordinary by that time.

Lol, someone's spoiled. 1Ghz is bleeding edge not "the norm" - 800Mhz will be the norm by 2011 not slow.

Agreed. The iPhone only has like 400Mhz I believe, and it's quite snappy. 800Mhz is very good for a phone

This is not the first froyo phone. That title will go to the Evo which will be out before years end. Correct?

EVO will be a 2.1 device. Its software should already be at the point of Sprint testing, and out of HTC's hands, so an updated Sense UI would be half a year away, at best.

Agreed, it's quite sexy.

Kinda poor design in my opinion. Metallic edges are so outdated. White plastic looks kinda for womans, but metallic edges makes it not for womans. Too much of white space at the top and bottom.

Then should remove half of top over the display and half of bottom under the display. And the body should be made of a single case from high quality plastic with no bevel edges.

The hardware looks really nice. I'm a fan of the chrome and white.

I think the width of the screen will kill this device. Typing on it is gonna be a chore. I could be wrong but I think it needs to be a little wider. Other than that, I like the design.

What you mean? I use virtual keyboard in landscape mode perfectly without any single wrong press at almost 3 symbols per second on my 2,9'' nHD screen. Portrait makes it a lot slower of course - some one symbol in 2 seconds, but here it's WVGA and 3,5''.

In overall i like the size of the phone. There is also black version. Yet metallic edges and glossy black plastic is still shows a lack of designer's taste as well. They should make a black version with matte plastic, slightly cut edges without bevel and metal.

Or not them, but HTC. Without HTC Sense this phone is not interesting. Looking for HTC to make an andoird powered device with 3,5'' display with HTC HD2 design, HTC Desire design would be good as well, but not larger than 3,5'' and not smaller than 3,3''. HTC Legend is ugly...

"USB ass storage, A2DP" .... I so want that, ass storage! Lol. I doun't think a spellcheck would have caught that.

I doun't think it would have either.

Phone looks sweet. I would consider it but it's a Dell which makes me apprehensive. I used to be a big Dell fan and like their stuff but it seems like over the past few years I've seen a steady decline in their quality. It's not unusual for a project I've worked on that involves multiple new servers or multiple new workstations / laptops to get some D.O.A. units or units with hardware failures. I've really lost confidence in them.
