Dell joins in "Hunt AMD" lark

While the British parliament dithers like a Southpaw McDither™ over whether or when to stop people wearing red jackets hunting foxes with dogs, Dell has decided to indulge in a similar sport, judging from ads that have popped up all over Blighty.

The Dell ads have a line in them which runs something like: "Beware of imitations, buy a real 2GHz machine, a Pentium 4 from Dell."

The Dell Corporation is one of the biggest distributors of Intel chips and gets special prices to remain so, although occasionally AMD executives wheel by its Round Rock office and sign the visitor book, just to keep Chipzilla on its toes.
